Programme

Annus mirabilis. Visual arts around 1968

The course aims to explore the artistic context around 1968, expanding the view to the years from 1967 to 1972. These were essential years for the birth and development of essential contemporary artistic experiences, from conceptual art to the various forms of post-minimalism, to Arte Povera and environmental art, to performance. Through the analysis of exhibitions, works, magazines, texts and documents the main critical and historical issues of the period and the new international dimension of the art scene will be addressed.
