The course is divided into two parts:

A. The first part of the course will offer an orientation in the contemporary discussions in neuroethics, with a particular reference to the free will and the moral responsibility issues. The question of how to communicate these discussions to the general public will be analyzed.
B. The secund part will deal with some of the fundamental questions of moral philosophy by referring to movies that present those questions in a particularly stimulating and int ersting way.

Programme

The course aims to provide students with the basic concepts of applied ethics, with a particular focus on the ethics of artificial intelligence and its specific issues.
The goal of the course is for participants to gain an understanding of these topics, which are now fundamental to moral philosophy. By the end of the course, students will be able to grasp the essential aspects of these discussions.

The students taking the pre-exam at the end of the course will have to study a reduced program (which will be explained during the course), and write a short paper. All the other students will have to study the whole program above.
