The Course provides for an introduction to the main periods, issues, and authors, in feminist and gender studies and movements.
The Course is intended to the acquisition of historical and analytical tools, both in reading and in debating.
International students can ask for a final exam in their native language or in English.

Attendance

Attendance at the workshop meetings is required (a maximum of 1 absence is possible out of the total number of meetings scheduled). In the event of the need for online attendance or inability to attend the lectures, it is necessary to write to Prof. Castelli (federica.castelli@uniroma3.it) to reformulate together the mode and content of the final test.

Type of evaluation

Attendance at the workshop meetings is required (a maximum of 1 absence is possible out of the total number of meetings scheduled). In the event of online attendance or inability to attend the meetings, it is necessary to write to the lecturer to reformulate the mode and content of the final test. The final tests consists in the delivery of a paper of at least 20,000 characters (including spaces) based on one or more themes from the workshops, due by the date indicated at the beginning of the lessons. The paper may be individual or group (up to a maximum of 5 people) and must refer to: 1) one of your choice among the texts indicated in the general bibliography of the course 2) the materials relating to the lecture and the themes chosen for the focus. The paper should be sent in .pdf format to federica.castelli@uniroma3.it. There will then be a time for discussion and oral debate based on the work submitted. Further indications regarding the deadlines and methods of the test will be communicated at the beginning of the lessons.
