Programme

After an introduction focused on the relationship between theatre culture and the culture of the texts, as they have emerged in the history of theatre, especially in the 20th century, the course will observe how these themes have condensed around the idea of directing, through individual stories and concrete examples. We will then look in particular at the relationship between writing and theatrical practice in the work of Bertolt Brecht, and will also dwell on some aspects of its Italian reception.
