This course aims to provide students with tools to critically analyze the evolution of media in the Middle East, from the early Twentieth century to the present day. Particular attention will be paid to the transformations undergone by press, radio, television and, more recently, social media, by examining the interconnections with the political, social and cultural changes that have taken place in the region.
