Programme

The workshop explores the use of artificial intelligence in the ideation, development, communication and presentation of audiovisual editorial projects for television. Through a simulation of the production and commercial workflow of a television production company, students will work in groups to develop an original scripted or unscripted format. The process will range from analysing existing formats to defining the initial idea, concept and editorial structure, selecting the intended broadcaster or platform, and designing the project’s visual identity and communication and promotional materials. The workshop will also address the opportunities, limitations, and critical, ethical and legal implications associated with the use of artificial intelligence across the audiovisual production process. Projects will be progressively discussed and reviewed in class. The workshop will conclude with the presentation of a sales pitch deck, through which each group will present its project.
