The laboratory aims to provide students with basic knowledge and skills to understand and practice sports journalism across its different languages, formats, and professional contexts, with particular attention to contemporary media.
At the end of the laboratory, students will have acquired:
• knowledge of the main characteristics of sports journalism, its specific languages, and the models of sports news production across different media;
• the ability to critically analyze sports narratives, distinguishing genres, formats, and narrative strategies adopted by print media, television, the web, and digital platforms;
• basic skills in the main techniques of sports journalism, such as reporting, commentary, interviewing, and reportage;
• the ability to select, verify, and use information sources in the field of sports, in compliance with the professional and ethical standards of journalistic practice;
• tools for the production of simple sports journalism content, adapting language and style to different media contexts;
• the ability to orient themselves with respect to professional profiles in sports journalism and the main career opportunities in the field of sports information.
