The course aims to provide students with
• An introduction to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for sustainable development in its unity and in its general articulation
• The analysis of the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)
• The critical discussion of the structure of the Agenda and the links between its various objectives, both in terms of synergies and possible conflicts
• Insights into some objectives of the Agenda, in connection with the specific interests and / or study plans of individual students
At the end of the course, the student will be able to discuss in depth the policies of the UN on sustainable development

The final assessment will consist of the presentation of a paper to be briefly discussed on an exam date (of your choice). The topic of the paper will concern the subjects explored in class. Guidelines for the paper: minimum length of 30,000 characters. Submission: one week before the chosen exam date, by sending the paper via email to: federica.giardini@uniroma3.it
