20110975 - Public Law on Information Technologies

The course aims to stimulate students’ reflection on the impact of technological innovation and the digital transition on freedom of expression. Starting with an examination of the constitutional framework governing information, communication, and the dissemination of ideas, the course analyzes the problematic, regulatory, and jurisprudential aspects, both at the supranational and domestic levels, arising from the use of the internet.
Among the many issues related to the limits on freedom of expression, the course will address, through the sharing of case studies, the right to access the internet, the protection of privacy, the right to be forgotten, fake news, the relationship between democratic pluralism and new powers, and the media process.
