The activity aims to examine the impact of technology on the broader phenomenon of violence against women. More specifically, it seeks to assess both the extent to which emerging technologies influence existing offences by creating new means of perpetration (for example, in relation to stalking or domestic abuse) and the circumstances in which they constitute an element of the offence itself (as in the case of the use of artificial intelligence under Article 612-quater of the Italian Criminal Code, introduced in 2025).

Programme
The course will consist of two sessions, according to the following schedule:nn- 2 December, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Council Room. The first session will focus on the current legal framework governing digital violence against women, including an examination of recently introduced offences that pose particular challenges in terms of investigation and proof, such as the offence provided for under Article 612-quater of the Italian Criminal Code.n- 4 December, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in Room Morvillo (formerly Room 5). The second session will adopt a more seminar-based approach and will feature the participation of legal practitioners with expertise in these matters.Prerequisiti
