The course will focus on three thematic areas: 1) the symbolic dimension of and in law; 2) the presence and representation of law in literature, film, and the visual arts; 3) the ways in which law regulates art (e.g., through censorship or copyright)

The evaluation will focus on the following: the extent to which students have mastered the topics discussed during the course; the degree to which they have independently explored these topics; and, finally, the ability to argue, present ideas, and think critically demonstrated during the course and at the exam
