20810304 - Applicazioni elettriche

The course aims to describe the theoretical principles and the methodologies necessary for dealing with the electrical applications. Particular attention is addressed to the electrical machines and devices in contexts associated with the technologies for the air transportation. The students will be able to face simple design problems, they will also acquire the skills necessary for the selection and the right use of both electrical machines and basic components of electrical systems with reference to airport infrastructures and aircraft, including innovative ones with electric propulsion as drones.

Type of delivery of the course

Class teaching in a conventional way, face-to-face lessons. Execution of numerical exercises and simple examples of acrual applications. All the University provisions governing the methods of carrying out teaching activities and student assessment will be implemented.

Attendance

Class attendance is not mandatory, however it is suggested to attend the lessons.

Type of evaluation

Written and oral examination. The written test can also be taken through ongoing tests. The written test lasts about 2 hours and is organized through exercises similar to those presented in the classroom and present on the moodle page of the course; the exercises are aimed at verifying the level of effective understanding of the concepts and the students' ability to apply them in real contexts. The interview concerns the presentation of two topics among those presented in the classroom during the course.
