The objective of this course is to provide basic knowledge for understanding and future management of activities in an industrial setting. Team concept, basic logic of teamwork, tasks, and responsibilities, organization chart, etc.
Definition of system and subsystem, interactions, interface concept.
Logic of managing development programs in aerospace, understanding of the differences between the various phases: pre-design, design, qualification and completion. Evolution of requirements and their allocation to subsequent levels (allocation to subsystems, etc.). Logic of unpacking activities, concept of work breakdown structure, identification of activities, identification/allocation of resources, links between activities (temporal and logical), flow of activities, use of Gant diagrams, mention of SWs for managing progress hints on critical paths and delay management. Hints on the function of documentation and their formal and substantive aspects, document types and contents. Hints on the logic of evolution of documentation issue and revision.
Basic elements of project margin management and their use in development, qualification and completion. Hints of validation by testing and definition logic. Basic cocetti on the treatment of risks and their impact on the project.
