20810249 - CONTROLLI AUTOMATICI

The course is a first level in automatic control and provides methodological and practical knowledge about:
-Modelling, Simulating and analyze the behavior of physical systems, in particular those that are linear and time invariant;
-Basic concepts on the system dynamics, as stability, transient response and forced one;
-Frequency based design of feedback control systems;
- Design in the time domain with state observers and pole placement techniques
-Use of mainstream software tools to aid in the previous activities.

Type of delivery of the course

Teaching is based on face to face lessons that develop theoretical approaches and practical works also based on simulation software.

Attendance

The attendance is not compulsory but is highly recommended. During the lessons many exercises are developed that require the use of coding in Matlab. Such skill is required for the final exam and intermediate tests.

Type of evaluation

The student is evaluated through a written test with the use of MATLAB software and an oral exam.
