20802085 - LABORATORY: ROAD PLANNING AND DESIGN

Road Design Laboratory is a course of the Master Degree in Road Infrastructures and Transport. This degree aims at training a highly professional figure in civil engineering with specific knowledge and skills in road infrastructures design and management and transportation issues.
Within this degree, Road Design Laboratory aims to provide design knowledge of a road infrastructure in order to design an intersection in an urban and sub-urban area. In these areas, a solution to critical issues due to the density of constraints and an optimization of design choice is provided.
At the end of the course, the students will be able to: 1) solve a problem of optimization of design choices in all the design phases; 2) elaborate technical documents according to several regulations; 3) acquire the ability to demonstrate the validity of design choices; 4) draw up a project in the various scales of detail required.
