The 3rd year Literature course (Non-European language) comes under the complementary learning activities of the bachelor’s degree course in Languages and Cultural & Linguistic Mediation, specifically the activities aimed at providing knowledge of the cultural and in particular the literary tradition of the foreign language of study, as well as the tools to analyze critically texts belonging to diverse literary typologies.
The course aims at expanding and enhancing: a) the acquaintance with the principal genres, authors and texts in the language of study; b) the application of the tools for the analysis of typologically diverse literary texts.
Expected learning outcomes: the students will further enhance and develop their familiarity with significant genres, authors and literary texts in the foreign language of study, as well as their ability to analyze different typologies of literary texts.

The course aims to illustrate the highlights and crucial points of contemporary Chinese literature, from the 1950s of the 20th century to the present, in order to highlight, through the analysis of the most representative works and authors, the main trajectories, theoretical views, ideas, feelings, values, ideological assumptions, and contradictions that have marked the recent history of mainland China.
