1) Theory of Relativity: Special Relativity. Space-time. Four-vectors: relativistic velocity, momentum and energy. General relativity.
2) Quantum mechanics: Crisis of classical physics. The principles of quantum mechanics. Schrödinger equation and quantum systems. New phenomena, developments and interpretations.
3) Field theory and Standard Model of elementary particles: Introduction and fundamentals. Properties of interactions and particles. The Standard Model.
4) Particle physics beyond the Standard Model: Limits of the Standard Model. New Physics Models.
5) Quantum gravity.

Type of delivery of the course

The course consists of lectures supported by the use of a video projector. In case of extension of the sanitary emergency due to COVID-19, however, all regulations and instructions concerning the methods of carrying out the teaching activities will be adopted. Type of evaluation

The exam consists of a presentation with slides on a topic of the program chosen within a list prepared by the teacher and with the teacher previously agreed. In case of extension of the sanitary emergency due to COVID-19, however, all regulations and instructions concerning the methods of carrying out the student assessment will be adopted.
