Type of delivery of the course
Lectures. The first part of the program is devoted to explain and discuss the main experimental issues involved in the muon life measurement. Numerical exercises are presented and solved. The main part of the course concerns the measurement of the muon life in laboratory.Attendance
Classroom lessons. Lab activitiesType of evaluation
The students draw up a final report on the lab activity, containing description/discussion of the experimental approach, of the measurements and uncertainties and of the final value obtained for the muon mean life. The report is discussed in the oral examination. teacher profile teaching materials
