Programme

Starting from theoretical contributes of different disciplines, this module offers keys to research and to analyse the theoretical-disciplinary and philosophic bases of social work profession – study of Ethical Code – with a focus on its complexity and its peculiarity to other social professions, also in consideration of changes in Welfare State.

Important themes of particular relevance for the profession will be discussed, as the ethical and methodological implications with social work principles and their “action” in practice, like poverty, social needs, social inclusion / exclusion processes, personalization and humanization of the interventions, the rights and their fruition, and so on.

Type of delivery of the course

Oral examination will be realized on books subjects, lectures arguments and on eventual tests done during module lessons. Lectures will provide seminar meetings – also in an inter-disciplinary way – and individual/group exercises to focus on specific aspects.
