Objective of the course is to learn the role of the professional social worker in the system of services. In particular, it proposed: a) the process of welcoming and taking charge of the issues of human and global context; b) analysis and evaluation of the needs and resources of the individual, personal, social and environmental relations; c) professional tools and techniques (interview, home visit, professional documentation, etc.)

The course aims at strengthening in students the trifocal perspective on professional social work in continuity with the first year course.
Within this conceptual framework it points to deepen two main issues. The first focuses on person and family through the knowledge of the main professional tools and the connection between needs/demands and resources. The second issue concerns the development of other two dimensions of social work, by analyzing role and professional skills of social workers in organizational contexts within and between services, promoting the work in the community and starting to enhance students’ evaluative perspective.
