The teaching aims to investigate the phenomena of transgression and social diversity within the analysis inquadrandone strutturalfunzionalismo, of the Chicago school and of symbolic interactionism.

Programme

The course will focus on the theoretical and methodological lines in
order to analyze the processes of becoming deviant,the phenomenon of
social diversity and delinquency in the sociological framework.The themes of deviance will be analyzed at the intersection of the major transformations of our time,
the processes of socialization within the family the school system and the
peer-groups, The role of mass media , their influence and their repre-
sentation of deviant behaviour will be emphasized

The lecture will be oral by facing the student and by using graphic designs to illustrate the topics of the course.The students will be tutored in writing a small paper related to the themes developed in the classroom.Discussion and dialogue between students and teacher are encouraged.

There will be an oral examination and discussion about the paper presented for the final exam..
