Programme

The second semester intends to deal with the relevant issues about pedagogical counseling as a professional intervention device to be used in the different settings of the educational professions with particular attention to the individual and group dimension.
The program will therefore focus on the following topics:

The pedagogue and pedagogical counseling;
Action-research as a practice of assessment in socio-educational contexts;
Active listening and effectiveness communication in the helping relationship;
Counseling techniques in the helping relationship;
Characteristics, limits and opportunities of the pedagogical setting;
The professional engagement contract;
The supervision of the social educator and the pedagogue.

Type of delivery of the course

In the event of an extension of the health emergency from COVID-19, all the provisions governing the methods of carrying out teaching activities and student evaluation will be implemented. In particular, the following methods will be applied: distance lessons on the M-Teams platform. In ordinary conditions the lessons will take place only in presence. Highly recommended attending the course. We also remind you that it is highly recommended to also attend the first semester because pedagogical advice is dealt with specifically in group work.

Attendance

Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended given the practical nature of the teaching

Type of evaluation

The verification of knowledge will take place through a final oral exam. The evaluation parameters for the final exam will concern: 1. Be able to use technical-professional language; 2. Be able to express oneself in correct Italian; 3. Appropriate knowledge of the topics contained in the exam texts; 4. Knowing how to make conceptual connections between themes attributable to different interdisciplinary areas; 5. Knowing how to apply theoretical contents to professional practice.
