Educational objectives: development of knowledge and skills related to psycho-pedagogical counseling of families; parenting support services, understood as a form of adult learning; development of pedagogical therapeutic skills and practices in the management of parent-adolescent relationships: clinical and pedagogical work with adolescents according to the systemic-relational perspective within a three-generational family framework.
Acquisition and increase of skills, in terms of clinical-pedagogical intervention, which look at the crisis of the young patient as a sign of a block in the realization of phase-specific evolutionary tasks.

Programme

The course aims to provide students with theoretical knowledge and skills relating to:
- care, self-care and education, including from a historical-hermeneutic perspective;
- the analysis of individual and group educational needs in constant dialogue with the main reference paradigms.
- the analysis of contemporary social and cultural reality;
- the use of appropriate research methods in the field of education.
- Part of the programme focuses on exploring the concept of “care” through reading and commenting on passages from Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, which also addresses “happiness”, “goodness”, “virtue”, “ethics” and their connection with educational practice.

Expected learning outcomes in line with the “Dublin Descriptors” indicated in the SUA Form (TABLES A.4.b.1 – A4.c).

Through the study of the course, students will be able to achieve the following learning objectives:

In terms of knowledge and understanding
- knowledge and critical understanding of the epistemological foundations of the discipline, the main currents of thought and the historical and social dimensions of educational models related to care and self-care
In terms of the ability to apply knowledge and understanding
-understanding the specificity of educational situations by analysing them from multiple perspectives (social, cultural, etc.) in order to adopt appropriate educational practices.

In terms of independent judgement
-ability to critically analyse and reflectively elaborate educational choices.

In terms of communication skills
-ability to enhance and use various book formats and new communication and information technologies in activities

Attendance

ATTENDANCE AT LECTURES IS NOT MANDATORY.

Type of evaluation

For this academic year, the course and final examination will be conducted by three lecturers (Broccoli, Piccione, Olivieri). The final assessment on Gomp will be carried out by Prof. Piccione. For the part presented by Prof. Broccoli, the examination will consists of an interview on the topics of the course, which will ascertain the possession of specific knowledge of some topics in General Pedagogy. The final grade, expressed in thirtieths, will take into account: of the ability to critically rework the knowledge acquired; of the possession of adequate expressive property and specialized terminology
