The course aims to explore the main aspects of socio-emotional development in childhood, with particular attention to early traumatic experiences, emotional regulation processes, and the educational role in promoting the child's psychological well-being. The training program is structured around a critical reflection on events and conditions that may hinder healthy development, such as grief and abuse, and on how significant adults and education professionals can support the child in their process of emotional processing and growth.
The course will include moments of reflection on certain difficulties in child development, such as grief and abuse, as well as on key educational and intervention strategies to support families and children in situations of distress. In addition, models and training approaches useful for professionals working in these contexts will be presented.
The proposed texts will accompany the lessons, offering theoretical and practical insights to understand and intervene in a conscious and sensitive way in the socio-emotional development of the child.
