The course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge and useful cognitive tools to understand the multi-level legal system of the European Union and Member States, the functioning of the European institutions and the regulatory context of the main European Union policies.

Type of delivery of the course
The course will take place mainly through ordinary lectures, in some limited cases held by experts of the single topic. Working groups and learning projects will be included in the teaching activities. Students will also be invited to participate in seminars organized within the Department of Political Sciences on topics of specific interest with respect to the educational objectives of the course.Attendance
The attendance to lectures and seminars is voluntary, but highly suggestedType of evaluation
The learning results will be verified through an oral examination (the duration of the oral examination will be between 15 and 25 minutes). The student will be asked to answer to few questions (between 3 and 5) concerning the course topics.
