Introduction to the Italian case: the debate on the Constituent and the art. 49 of the Constitution.
Protected and semi-protected democracies: Germany, Spain, Portugal, Greece.
Democracies of Eastern Europe: Poland, Czech Republic.
The parties in the multicultural state: the case of the Indian Union.
 
Part Three: Parties in Italy and Europe
Art. 49 of the Constitution and its long non-implementation.
Clashes over internal democracy before the judges.
The first attempts at partial implementation of art. 49 of the Constitution.
Analysis of some statutes of Italian parties.
Rules and decisions on names and symbols of Italian parties.
Party financing: the rules in Italy and other countries.
