The course aims to provide a complete and updated picture of constitutional rights and freedoms, in the light of constitutional law and considering the transformations which required a profound rethinking.

Choices characterizing the Italian Constitution.
Is the number of constitutional rights limited ?
Statutory reservation of power and reserve of jurisdiction.
Right to liberty of person.
Right to respect of home.
Right to respect of correspondence.
Freedom of movement.
Freedom of expression.
Freedom of assembly.
Freedom of association.
Freedom to conduct a business and right to property.
Social rights as fundamental rights : right to work, right to health care, right to education.

Type of delivery of the course

In-class lectures. Following the directives of the university, the teacher can use Moodle platform to share texts and to ask questions about them and Teams platform to broadcast and record lessons.

Attendance

Attending students can (but don’t have to) prepare on judicial cases referring to rights and liberties.

Type of evaluation

Oral exam. Following the directives of the university, the exam can take place via a conference call on Teams platform. During the CoviD emergency, the exam will be held in compliance with the Decreto Rettorale n. 703, adopted on the 5th of may, 2020 The exam foresees at least three questions. Attending students can choose the first question. Attending students can (but don't have to) analyze the judicial cases discussed during the course.
