The course aims to develop students’ understanding of the structure, functions and evolution of major international organisations. Students acquire analytical tools to examine the historical background, decision‑making systems and core functions of institutions such as the United Nations, the OAS, the European Union and other regional organisations in Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. The course also fosters a comparative perspective on global governance, exploring how international organisations manage cooperation, security and policy‑making across different regional and multilateral contexts.
