The course provides an advanced understanding of the constitutional structure of the European Union and the evolution of its foundational principles. Students develop the ability to analyse the relationship between EU law and national legal systems, the role of EU institutions, the protection of fundamental rights, and the functioning of the Union’s judicial review mechanisms. The course also strengthens critical skills for assessing European integration dynamics, multilevel governance challenges, and the constitutional issues arising from contemporary political developments.
