21830245 - POPULATIONS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The course examines major demographic dynamics at the international level, highlighting the relationship between population trends and development models within a sustainability framework. Students acquire conceptual tools to interpret the dualism between advanced and less‑developed countries and to understand how demographic growth, migration, urbanisation and socio‑economic change shape the challenges of sustainable development. The course also aims to develop analytical skills enabling students to assess the interactions between demographic dynamics, public policies and global sustainability objectives.
