21830250 - QUALITATIVE METHODOLOGY

The course provides students with essential tools to understand and apply qualitative research methodologies in the social sciences. By comparing quantitative and qualitative approaches, students develop the ability to design qualitative research, define methodological strategies, and justify their analytical choices. The course covers key techniques such as in‑depth interviews, ethnography, participant observation and life histories, as well as coding and data‑analysis strategies using qualitative analysis software. The aim is to strengthen students’ analytical and critical skills in interpreting social phenomena through qualitative evidence.
