The course provides students with an in‑depth understanding of the main theoretical and practical dimensions of international security. Students develop the ability to analyse global and regional processes shaping the security agenda, the functioning of peace operations and the role of the United Nations in promoting international peace and security. The course also examines the evolution, functions and transformation of NATO, as well as cooperative security and non‑proliferation policies in different regional contexts. It strengthens students’ analytical skills for assessing risks and critically interpreting contemporary challenges to international security.
