Core Documentation

The course is broadly based on the volume:
H.D. Young, R.A. Feedman, Principi di Fisica vol. 2

Reference Bibliography

The volume D. Halliday, R. Resnick, Fondamenti di Fisica can also be used as supporting material.

Type of delivery of the course

The exam will consist in solving a series of exercises in written form; should the panel consider it necessary, a further oral exam may be required. Following the guidelines for the COVID-19 emergence, if access to the University is forbidden or extremely difficult, the exam may have its form changed into an oral, demanding the solution of an exercise, followed by further questions aiming at verifying the comprehension.

Attendance

In matter of attendance, this course follows the general guidelines of the Corso di Laurea.

Type of evaluation

The exam consists in solving a series of numerical problems. Depending on the evaluation of the panel, a further oral exam may be required or suggested. In the case of emergencies linked to the COVID-19 situation, the exam may be turned into an oral exam, in which one of the questions will require to solve a numerical problem. Regardless the modality, the exam is finalised to verifying the knowledge of the subject, as well as, the capability of building chains of reasoning.
