Core Documentation

“Elementi di Chimica” di Palmisano , Marci, Costantini, Luciani, Schiavello (IIa edizione)- EDISES (more concise)
“Fondamenti di Chimica” di Schiavello, Palmisano(V-VIa edizione)- EDISES (more in depth)
They can be replaced by any college-level general chemistry text.

"Esercizi di chimica generale" di Alessandro Del Zotto - EDISES
It can be replaced by any college-level stoichiometry text.

Reference Bibliography

Type of delivery of the course

58 hours of theoretical lectures, 24 hours of numerical exercises concerning chemical calculations and solving stoichiometry problems.

Attendance

Mandatory in-person attendance for a minimum of 75% of face-to-face lectures and a minimum of 75% of afternoon tutorials.

Type of evaluation

The written exam consists of demonstrating knowledge of compound nomenclature and solving stoichiometry problems (duration 2.5-3 h). Passing the written test allows admission to the oral examination. The oral examination consists of a written test covering 4-5 topics from all course topics, followed by an oral interview.
