Recall on the analysis of data of geophysical interest in the Python environment.
Laboratory, field and satellite measurement techniques. Electrical and magnetic properties of geomaterials. Electrical and magnetic measurements in the time and frequency domain. Laboratory activities: use of the LCR bridge and the Vector Network Analyzer for dielectric permittivity and magnetic permeability measurements. Electromagnetic propagation in geomaterials. Satellite and subsurface radar: theoretical bases and applications in the environmental field. Laboratory activities: Data analysis techniques and estimation of physical parameters; inversion methods.

Type of evaluation

The written test consists in drawing up some reports in which the student shows how he has analyzed and discussed some geophysical data, also in relation to what he learned during the lectures. The oral exam focuses on the discussion of the report presented by the student and on the topics covered during the course.
