The course is designed to introduce students to the history of science and technology, notably to the history of life science and medicine from antiquity to 1800. It will take into account the intellectual and social aspects of science.

Science and Technology from Antiquity to the 17th Century. The course is divided into two parts. The first one deals aims at providing basic knowledge of history of science and technology; the second part deals with applied mechanics and with the origins of classical mechanics.Core Documentation
