The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Western European Middle ages history, with reference to the most up to date historiographical debate.

The End of Lombard Kingdom. Politics and Society in 8th Century.
Main themes of this course: political activity of Desiderius, the last lombard King; Power and Society, Monasteries and Aristocracy; principal typologies of sources about the years 750s-770s in Lombard Italy.
