Malaria in Italy between the XIX and XX centuries.
The course intends to retrace the history of malaria and of its complex and multiple consequences - from the environmental, economic, demographic, sanitary and cultural point of view – and its relationship with the policies implemented to fight it, starting from the years around the Italian unification and until the half of the 20th century, namely the period of the definitive eradication of the disease.
