The course will address, with a long-term comparative perspective, the analysis of political and economic macrostructures and their cultural manifestations, in a transnational and transcontinental perspective, using this perspective to bring out the major methodological and thematic issues of Global History (chronologies, themes, questions, structures, problems) and to allow for a conceptual definition.

Type of delivery of the course
The course will consist of frontal lessons, seminar lessons, exercises and educational visits to Roman libraries and archives. Following the provisions of the current COVID-19 emergency regulations, the course will also be streamed for students who wish to use it remotely.Type of evaluation
During the course, students will have the opportunity to present additional studies related to the main topics. At the end of the course, an oral examination will be held on the selected texts from of the course. Linguistic, communicational, logical and argumentative skills will be evaluated in addition to the contents during the oral exam. The grade will be expressed in thirtieths and honours may be awarded in cases of exceptional performance during the examination and additional material agreed with the lecturer. teacher profile teaching materials
