The course aims to deepen the knowledge of literary history, with particular attention to the narrative tradition in Italy, from the Tasso's poem of Gerusalemme Liberata to the phenomenon of the prose novel of the 17th century up to its affirmation in the 19th century. Furthermore, in the second part of the course, a monographic study on 19th century humorous literature will be offered.

Programme
