The course aims to provide the analytical ability to identify the plurality of factors that intervene in the dynamics of historical processes and to grasp their connections; acquire methods and tools of investigation designed to penetrate the complexity of the present time in its historical depth; to form in the understanding of otherness as revealed in the study of human events that constitute the becoming of history.

The main lines of Italy’s history from Risorgimento to the crisis of the 1980s and early 1990s. The module aims to tackle, with a reading of the long run, the most important issues in the history of Italy from Risorgimento to the crisis of the 1980s and early 1990s.
