Acquisition of a basic knowledge of the process of formation of Neo-Latin languages and Romance literary traditions with specific regard to the Gallo-Romance, Ibero-Romance and Italo-Romance areas. The student will acquire a good knowledge of philological research methodologies and text analysis techniques through the study of the main literary genres and related texts considered in their historical-cultural, linguistic-formal and intertextual aspects. It will also acquire knowledge relating to the most relevant issues of the critical-methodological debates within the discipline and the ability to argue independently on the issues and problems covered.
