Acquisition of knowledge of ancient Christian literature and its historical development, with particular reference to its thematic and formal relationships with contemporary Greek and Latin literature of the ancient world and with the Jewish heritage. Acquisition of critical skills in the collection and interpretation of data, enabling students to form and communicate independent judgments.
