In the first part of the course, a critical reflection will be undertaken on the forms of historical knowledge and the organisation of work in the historian's laboratory: time, the relationship between history and memory, the historical dimension of human existence, the space of historical knowledge, the documents used, the new historiographical currents between hermeneutics and the social sciences.
In the second part of the course, in the last lessons, various types of sources will be presented with examples of analysis, also through educational visits to archives and libraries.
