Programme

Experience and infinite Task. Knowledge, language and messianism in the philosophy of Walter Benjamin.

The course will focus on some essais of the early Benjamin (1916-1925) in order to reconstruct the gnoseological basis of his theoretical and practical philosophy. Between them "On language as such and on the Language of Man" (1916), "On the program of the coming philosophy" (1917-18),
"Epistemo-logical Preface" to "Origin of german baroque Drama". The thesis "On the Concept of History" as well as some fragments on the philosophy of knowledge and on politics will be also examinated.
