Type of delivery of the course
The course consists of 36 hours of lectures that will aim to deepen peculiar and significant issues of the Roman Provinces. The type of bibliography will allow the student to acquire the knowledge of the formation of the provinces, their administration, their relationship with the central power, the army's role. This knowledge will be enriched by the texts of classical authors, transcripts of inscriptions and images that will be provided during the lessons. 6 CFU = 36 hours of lectures First SemesterAttendance

Acquisition of knowledge and critical understanding of the formation of the Roman Empire through the system of the creation of the provinces and their administrative organization, deepening of the relationship between the provinces and the central government. Historical and archaeological and administrative insights finalized the acquisition of the procurement of ancient sources of research methodologies required and its critical use. Acquisitions of functional methods of research to the interdisciplinary study of the matter. We ask a knowledge of languages: English, French, German, in order to have the ability to study the course material in a foreign language.
