20704014 - ARCHIVE-KEEPING

The course aims to provide basic theoretical knowledge on archives in the phase of their formation, as well as on the treatment of historical archives, linking the principles of the archival tradition to the new context determined by the evolution of information and communication technologies. It also offers an opportunity to reflect on the archive as a place of preservation of documents with legal-probative value and as a place of preservation of sources for history. One of the objectives is also to raise awareness of the historical development of the use and reuse of archives between the Middle Ages and the contemporary age.
