It examines the political, economic, military, cultural, and ideological dimensions of the colonial experience, from the origins of imperialism to decolonization. The course explores the impact of colonialism on colonized societies as well as the relationships between colonies and metropolitan centers. It also investigates the legacies of colonialism and the continuities that persist in the postcolonial world.
