Course Objectives: To provide advanced knowledge of Roman archaeology and art history through the analysis of the major urban, monumental, and artistic contexts of the Roman era. The course aims to develop students’ ability to critically interpret archaeological evidence and figurative art, methodological skills in the use of material and iconographic sources, and the ability to independently understand the historical, political, and cultural processes of the Roman world
