The second module of the course is dedicated specifically to the study of the civilizations of pre-Roman Italy, especially the Middle Tyrrhenian region, in the period from the stabilization of urban structures between the 6th and 5th centuries BC to the full fusion of pre-Roman political and cultural identities within Roman Italy in the 1st century BC. An integral part of the course is also direct knowledge of some of the main Etruscan archaeological monuments through visits to the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia and several museums and sites in Lazio.
